The body language ( How to behave )
- As a Job seeker, you should show positive intent, shake the interviewer’s hand firmly (Not too firmly, that you end up causing more damage then good)
Do not mumble, be straight with you talks, take the lead from the interviewer, note whether their attitude is formal or relaxed or serious in nature. - Make eye contact, but don’t stare them.
- Smile where appropriate, this is important it will show the interviewer that you are not nervous.
- Don’t sit down until you are asked Or asked for them, if you can sit down.
- Look alert and sit upright.
- Rest your hands on the table or on your lap and don’t move them over face too often to look calm and prevent fiddling.
- Accept a coffee, tea or water if you want to, don’t eat or smoke even if invited
Showing intent while answer questions During Interview:
- Listen carefully and concentrate, and do not interrupt.
- Show interest in answering, if in group discussion.
- Talk slowly and clearly, take your time do not speak half words.
- Keep your answers clear and to the point and avoid talking for too long.
- Take time if necessary before answering a question or ask for clarification if you are unsure of the meaning.
- Don’t be afraid to admit, if you don’t know the answer Or cannot answer.
- Don’t criticise your present (for experienced candidates) employer, or reveal confidential information and be honest.
- Find opportunities to sell yourself, by relating your skills to the job profile. An employer is looking for determination, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Concentrate on positive words, such as “enjoy” and “enthusiastic”

Make relevant questions, Do not deviate
Show that you have researched about the company, well in advance to show your interest.
Ask about training and who you will be working with
Leave questions about salary and benefits until a later stage of interview.
Ask when you will be given a decision.
When the interview ends, do say if you haven’t had the opportunity to put a point across or to ask a question. Say if you are interested in the job and thank the interviewer for seeing you.
