Generation Google Scholarship (Asia Pacific): for women in computer science
Google Scholarship for women in computer science was established to help students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive $1,000 USD for the 2022-2023 school year.
Who can apply for Google Scholarship 2021
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
Be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree for the 2021-2022 academic year.
When completing the scholarship programme, you must be in your second year of study at an accredited university in an Asia Pacific country.
Be pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Showcase a strong academic record.
Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to increasing the representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.
Application Process
You will be required to fill out an online application that includes the following information:
Background information in general (e.g. contact information and details about your current and intended universities)
Resume/CV emphasising technical projects and involvement in community service
Transcripts from your current educational institutions (and prior, if applicable)
Answers to two short response essay questions (Refer below)
Each participant on the shortlist will have a 15-minute “meet and greet.”
Google Online Competition (Invitation to the challenge will be sent 5-7 working days post application deadline)
